Joins The Gelber Organization
Edison, NJ... Arthur Gelber, President of The Gelber Organization, has recently announced the recruitment of Louis J. Perry as a senior member of The Gelber Organization's tax consulting team.
Mr. Perry has over 30 years of corporate tax experience, including over twenty years within the Atlantic City casino industry, serving as Executive Director of Operational Accounting at The Claridge Casino Hotel; Director of Finance/Comptroller with The Atlantic City Conventions and Visitors Authority; Tax Specialist with Resorts Atlantic City; and as a Consultant with Fox, Rothschild, O'Brien & Frankel LLP, an accounting firm with clients in the casino industry. Prior to his service within the casino industry, Perry has held similar titles at Aramark, Penn Central, Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff Company. Most recently, Perry founded and operated a consulting company, which offered personalized tax, investment, asset management and insurance services.
His experience includes all areas of tax research and compliance, dealing with very complicated tax structures, preparing casino tax returns, the administration of a large 401(k) plan and was involved in federal and state tax audits dealing with a variety of tax controversies.
From 1985 to 1995, he served as a Adjunct Accounting Instructor at Atlantic Community College in Mays Landing, NJ. In addition, he conducted annual education seminars at Fidelity Investments, arranged a host of employee retirement education meetings and assisted employees in their asset allocation decisions.
Perry is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also has Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as a New Jersey Insurance Producer License for health, life and disability products.
